POOLS CHLORINATED WITH AUTOMATIC
CHLORINATORS, FLOATERS OR SKIMMERS USING STABILIZED CHLORINE

To start . . . adjust pH to 7.2
- 7.4 with pH Plus or Minus. Test total alkalinity. T.A.
should be between 95 - 125 PPM. Raise total alkalinity by
chart on container on container of Alkalinity Plus. Also
have hardness checked once a year. Hardness should be
180-240. Raise hardness with Calcium Plus according to the
chart on container.
1. Fill automatic chlorinating device.
2. Add 1 oz 65% Chlorine (HTH) or Shock per 1000 gallons.
3. Add 2 pounds stabilizer per
10000 gallons.
If pool was stabilized in previous years, have your
stabilizer levels tested.
Optimum level is 25 parts per
million.
Once a week . . .
1. Backwash or clean filter as needed. Only backwash when
your gauge rises 4-8 PSI. Frequent unneeded backwashing
lessens the efficiency of a sand filter.
2. Test and adjust PH.
3. Shock pool with 2 oz. 65% Chlorine (HTH) or Shock per 1000 gallons.
4. Refill chlorinator, floater or skimmer with stabilized chlorine.
5. Add 1 quart 10% HTH Algaecide
per 25000 gallons
USE YOUR TEST KIT EVERY DAY. NEVER PUT 65% CHLORINE (HTH) IN THE FLOATER OR THE CHLORINATOR.
